In order to discover which country has the most web developers, we looked at data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the International Labour Organization, the World Economic Forum, and Stack Overflow’s 2021 Developer Survey. The survey, which included over 65,000 developers from 173 countries, allowed us to determine which countries had the most web developers and the highest percentage of web developers in the workforce. The results showed that the United States has the highest number of web developers, with over 2.6 million, followed by India and China. India also had the highest percentage of web developers in its workforce, with 8.5%. The United Kingdom had the most web developers per capita, with 20.8 developers per 1,000 people.
These findings suggest that businesses should take into account these countries when planning their staffing and hiring needs, as they have the highest concentration of web developers. Additionally, businesses should adjust their recruitment strategies to ensure they can attract the most qualified developers.
