druginformer web application -- powered by DooPHP

Postby valentine2922 » Tue Dec 07, 2010 6:40 pm

Hi everybody, new to the webforum, but have been using doophp for some time, working on my application: http://www.druginformer.com . I have really enjoyed the simplicity of doophp, it has just the features we need. A couple of us have been working on this application, and it has been really easy for us to simultaneously work together on different aspects of the application -- without stepping on each other's toes, or getting lost in an overpowering structure.

If you would like to give the application a try, just search for a popular drug; it is focused on an American market, so internation drug coverage may be sporadic. It will give you detailed information we have extracted for the drug (average user review score, official medical reports of side effects, side effect reports extracted from user content). Hopefully it will be helpful to consumers trying to select new medications.

Anyway, any feedback on the site is welcome. Looking forward to hearing what people think.

Thanks for the doophp team for making an excellent framework!

Thanks for taking a look Steve! Yeah, fast page generation was critical for us, and that is one of the reasons we went with Doo. We are doing a little redesign right now to hopefully make the site less overwhelming. Lots of acronyms that nobody has heard of right  ? We are going to pull up some sample data extractions to make it more clear what our project is doing (extracting side effects mentioned by users in reviews and med forums). Hopefully what the data is, and how to use it will be more clear soon.
