Is DooPHP actively maintained?

Postby computrav » Tue Jun 12, 2012 2:24 am

Hi,

I've been reviewing PHP frameworks and REALLY like DooPHP -- but the one thing holding me back is my concern for whether it's still in active development or not. It doesn't appear that any updates have happened for over a year or so. Can someone (the author?) provide an update to ease my concerns?

In the forum's opinion, what's the "second best" PHP framework in terms of the lightweight and fast nature of DooPHP? (I know this is a loaded question and "personal preference" plays a big role -- but basically, if DooPHP isn't being maintained, and I have to choose something else, what would people recommend? Kohana? CodeIgnitor?)

Thanks,
Travis

I would like to say - as much as the needs of the developers require. For example, I'm one of the commiters, and our company is using DooPHP for its internal systems. I made some changes which allowed us to use doophp more effectively. I would not go and fix unrelated bugs and implement new features if I'm not in a need of one, since there isn't enough time.

Did you make them only internally at your company or did you commit them to our source control system too?
